[Multi-culutre News] Hwaseong City "If you have suspicious symptoms of Mpox, report it to the public health center immediately"

Hwaseong City operates a 24-hour Mfox countermeasure team.

The countermeasure team will be in overall charge of monitoring the occurrence of patients, transporting, managing contacts, and preventing activities.

In addition, the city distributed the Mpox Countermeasure Guide, which contains the trend of Mpox occurrence, clinical course characteristics, and suspected symptoms, to medical institutions in the city, and asked them to report immediately when finding suspected patients.

“If you have symptoms of suspected Mpox, do not touch others and report it to the nearest public health center or the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(1339)” Shim Jeong-sik, head of the Western Health Center in Hwaseong City, requested.

화성시가 24시간 엠폭스 방역대책반을 운영한다.

방역대책반은 환자 발생 감시부터 이송, 접촉자 관리, 예방활동 등을 전반적으로 담당하게 되며, 역학 및 사례조사를 통해 감염원을 검출하고 지역사회 내 확산을 빠르게 차단한다는 계획이다.

또 시는 관내 의료기관에 엠폭스 발생 동향 및 임상경과 특성, 의심증상 등을 담은 ‘엠폭스 진단 안내서’를 배포하고 의심환자 진료 시 즉각 신고 및 보고를 해달라고 요청했다.

심정식 화성시서부보건소장은 “엠폭스 의심증상이 나타나면 다른 사람과 접촉을 하지 말고 가까운 보건소 또는 질병관리청(1339)로 신고해달라”고 당부했다.
